It is the goal of the Tennessee Recycling Coalition to be governed by a Board of Directors that reflects the diversity of the Coalition. TRC Board members come from business, government, for-profit and nonprofit organizations. We strive to represent the geographical diversity of the state, rural and urban.

Board of Directors Executive Committee

Four officers serve on the TRC executive committee:

President - serves as the principal executive officer who presides over all meetings, has the right to appoint member to standing committees, supervises and directs the management and operation of the TRC Vice President - acts in the absence or disability of the President Secretary - serves as the primary record keeper of the TRC and has custody of all records excluding financial records Treasurer - serves as the financial officer of the TRC who prepares all financial records and maintains all funds

TRC Committees

Four committees serve to meet the goals and objectives established by the Board of Directors

Member Services - duties include communication, web site development and maintenance, formulation and publication of a quarterly newsletter, liaison with the National Recycling Coalition (NRC), development of new initiatives, speakers bureaus, and advocacy. Govenence - duties include introduction of amendments to the bylaws, finance and budgeting, nominations for elected officers, policy organization, and development of the Board of Director's handbook Outreach - duties include participation with TDEC on America Recycles Day (ARD), attending and exhibiting at other state and group conferences, investigation of program development for institutions such as colleges and universities and marketing Conference - duties include planning and implementing the annual TRC conference rotating the location of the conference throughout the state of Tennessee
